A hospital stay can be scary for anyone, but if you don’t have health insurance it can be overwhelming. This brochure answers questions about where you can get help paying for hospital care. Hospitals are costly and the Emergency Room is not the best place to get care for routine, common health problems. For illnesses that are not an emergency, go to a Neighborhood Health Center.
